I'd put this game somewhere between 8-9/10 range. I had some 5-6 fights that I couldn't do on first try, some 3 took multiple tries, because the fights can be very puzzley and can't be brute forced. Maybe 5 hours or less of my playtime was random battles, the rest were moderately difficult story fights, with really good side stories and character development that all eventually ties back to main plot. Maybe the Quick Guide could be enhanced with an additional page or something.īut aside from that, this game is ridiculous. element of the game are turn-based battles with a high level of difficulty.
#Othercide impossible difficulty full
This game, full of disturbing creatures and dark imagery, challenges you on a mental and tactical level that dares you to overcome the seemingly impossible obstacles it throws your way. The world of Othercide is as dark and imposing as its difficulty. This will be the entire first phase of the battle, your primary goal is to take out as many Caretaker as. Othercide is a tactical game with RPG elements, in which we find ourselves. The world of Othercide is as dark and imposing as its difficulty. A large, lumbering foe might leap across the battlefield with surprising agility, and the first boss you meet has some nasty abilities that can seem insurmountable if you come in with the wrong team of daughters. Developing their traits and combining their skills will make quick work of any. Estimated trophy difficulty : 8.5/10 average (entirely skill-dependent, experienced players might find it to be a 7/10, some won’t beat the story and will find it to be a 10/10) Approximate amount of time to platinum: 50h-100h+ (unpredictable, hard to even rate this because the game is randomly generated and entirely. Othercide is unapologetically difficult (mission difficulty starts at 'Hard,' moving to levels like 'Challenging' and 'Impossible') and new enemies will often shred you with abilities that you won't see coming. It is best if you wipe them off early in the game. Soulslingers and Blademasters are a players best friends. This is an important aspect as with them around, they will try to overwhelm you.

So the 90% of what game does show makes the remaining 10% more frustrating. When you start the fight against The Surgeon in Othercide, you will need to wipe off the Caretakers first.

This game would be nearly impossible to discuss without game critical reveals. Can't check enemy Ultra information, some boss passives still function weirdly, can't preview both EX/normal and Ex/Ultra outcomes, reaction stacks are weird, and I have no idea how the Atk vs Def math works. Plus, Pixel Vision make a special announcement Spoilers upon spoilers. Aight, with 62 hours of playtime, I beat the game, almost 100%.Īside from some rather confusing goals of the main villain (altho maybe some of that was me zoning out, still absolutely gutpunched by a horrifying story twist), my main criticism would probably be that, while the game does give you a lot of information and considers it important that you have max amount readily on hand, it's still not really enough.
